Welcome to the Youth Justice Board (YJB) Section.The Keeping Young
People Engaged (KYPE) project is funded by the Youth Justice Board. It
is a partnership project between Connexions and the Youth Offending Teams
in Greater Manchester and works with young people under YOT supervision
to help them get places in Employment, Training and Education. The project
employs 12 Learning Mentors based in YOT teams and 4 Personal Advisors
who work with young people from Greater Manchester in Hindley and Lancaster
Farms Young Offender Institutions. It provides support from custody to
community and the project also aims to foster closer working between Connexions
and YOTs.
